I LOVE LIMERICK Presents SPIRIT STORE

The SpiritStore Art Cafe presents a collection of diverse cultural activities that occurred over the months of August and September 2009 and was hosted in the unique environment of a Limerick landmark,The Sarsfield Bar.
The SpiritStore project infused this reclaimed space with a busy collection of talks, performances, debates / discussions, screenings, readings, meetings and chance encounters with musicians, writers, visual artists, film makers, collectives, as well as varied clubs and societies.
This inclusive experiment was an open invitation for all of Limerick to experience, absorb and creatively contribute to an exciting project.
Currently Spirit Store are looking for a new location. For the moment their main plan is to tie up all the loose ends of this phase of the project and they are hoping to publish a book on the whole process and are considering the options for another run.

Choke Comedy Improv for "I Love Limerick"

Valerie O'Connor is talking with Choke Comedy Improv about their roots, how did they get together and about Limerick for www.ilovelimerick.com

Choke Comedy Improv, Limericks only Comedy Improv troupe. With Tracy Aspel, Ann Blake, Myles Breen, Charlie Cassis, Susan Holland, Norma Lowney, and Jerry O Mullane, ably assisted by the musical genius of Nick Carswell.

Only formed just over a year, Limerick's first comedy improv troupe have been going from strength to strength. With a sell out show and a Special Judges Award from Limerick Unfringed 2009 under their belt the troupe bring much needed laughter in times lacking good news, Choke Comedy sets foot on stage with no script or safety net. A show that is driven by its audience, if you enjoyed Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Choke Comedy Improv are the night out for you.

Quote from the Limerick Blogger: What a blast this group of talented people are. This performance has me exhilarated, energised and very very very amused. The pace was right, the quick wit almost continuous and the energy infectious. What a treat!!
